It begins with the farmer, the cow and a clean can.
Sabatia is owned by smallholder dairy farmers in the Eldama Ravine highlands. Most of our members keep between two and ten cows on family land, and most of our milk is delivered before sunrise.
A full set of services along the dairy value chain.
Morning and evening pickup from over a dozen aggregation centres, served by youth riders within two hours of milking.
Members are paid on the cleanliness, butterfat and total solids of their milk — not just volume — through our BioFoods contract.
Subsidised dairy meal and mineral salts, deducted at source against the monthly milk cheque.
AI service with sexed semen options, delivered to the farm within 24 hours of a request to the field officer.
Mass deworming and vaccination drives, plus emergency veterinary call-out support.
Hands-on silage-making, hay-baling and pasture-management training during the rains.
Members borrow against pending milk payments and save through the Sabatia FOSA, smoothing the long dry months.
Group livestock and crop insurance schemes negotiated on behalf of the membership.
